IBD Event Notice: Painting Toilet Seats with Foster Eastman – Aug 18th

For our Inner Good community in the Metro Vancouver area, we wanted to let you in on an incredible event happening this Saturday to promote IBD awareness.

Our friends at the Gastrointestinal Society have teamed up with renowned Vancouver artist, Foster Eastman, to create the Painted Toilet™ project.

Why this project? The GI society’s mission is to educate the public on digestive diseases and disorders. Stated candidly, patients who live with this condition have a much closer relationship with the bathroom than the average Canadian. In fact, Canada has the highest prevalence of IBD in the world, which often starts in childhood.

With this in mind, the GI Society invites you to participate in a family-friendly art project led by Foster Eastman, at the Foster Eastman Gallery. This all ages event welcomes children, teens, and adults whose lives have been affected by IBD, together with their family and friends, to paint one of 90 toilet seats that will comprise a large art installation.
