The Masimo 1859 sensor is widely used in various clinical settings, including hospitals (ICUs, emergency departments, general wards), clinics, and home healthcare, for effective patient monitoring. 

• Usage: Single-patient-use (disposable) design minimizes the risk of cross-contamination and enhances hygiene.
• Technology: The sensor utilizes Masimo’s proprietary Signal Extraction Technology (SET), which provides accurate and reliable measurements even during challenging conditions like patient motion or low tissue perfusion (blood flow)
• Design: It is an adhesive, wrap-around finger sensor with a 1.5-foot (18-inch) cord.
• Compatibility: The Masimo 1859 is a Low Noise Cabled Sensor (LNCS) designed to connect to all Masimo SET pulse oximeters via an LNC patient cable. It is also compatible with certain Nellcor sensor-compatible instruments without OxiMax technology.
• Application Sites: Typically applied to the finger, but flexible placement options may allow use on other body sites.
