Peristeen Plus empties the bowels by introducing water into them using a rectal catheter. It is performed while sitting on the toilet. The water flushes out the stool, leaving the lower half of the bowels empty. Peristeen Plus empties the bowels so efficiently that it can prevent faecal incontinence and constipation for up to two days.

Peristeen Plus is an effective alternative to other bowel management methods. It can be administered either independently or with assistance, allowing you to decide when and where you want to empty your bowels. Used routinely, daily or every other day, it can help reduce the physical discomfort and concerns that faecal incontinence and constipation bring.
The balloon catheter helps creates a seal in the rectum to keep the water in the bowels, and is available in two sizes: Regular and Small. When the recommended amount of water is introduced into the bowel, water and stool are emptied into the toilet.
Peristeen Plus can be used by a wide range of people from children to adults, although the patient must receive thorough instructions from a healthcare professional before using this product.The Peristeen Plus system is easy to carry and store.
